This is a record of our family adventure (called a sabbatical in polite company) to South America.
In the fall of 2010 we quit our jobs and took our two kids, Piper and Duncan, ages 4 and 6, to Cuenca, Ecuador for two years (or until the money runs out).
Previously Diana was the marketing director at R.A. Nelson, one of the premier builders in Vail. Matt headed up the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability a nonprofit promoting green building, waste reduction, renewable power, etc., etc..
The idea? Spend more time with the kids, provide us all with some cultural perspective, and broaden our horizons and minds.
